As they say 'time and space are human constructs' and have no impact on a reading. The short answer to this question is: there is no difference. That being said, many sitters (people receiving a reading) prefer a phone or video meeting over an in-person meeting for various reasons; convenience, access and anonymity being high on their list.
Connecting with a medium from home can be more comfortable for the sitter to communicate their questions or feelings during the reading as well as the discussion of personal topics if applicable.
Facilitating a way for the sitter to remain anonymous can also go a long way in addressing our natural and appropriate skepticism. Readings will always be much better when the sitter is relaxed, open and free to let go of doubts.
Bereavement can be a very vulnerable place to reside. Our skepticism is healthy and can serve us well in this life - especially when we are heavy in grief.
Being 'open' means that you are willing to keep an open heart and mind, allowing the evidence to lead you to your own conclusions. If you are wiling to be open to the possibility of 'what if ', then I would encourage you to follow your heart and book a reading.
Your loved ones in spirit are never too busy to talk to you. They are always available and welcome the opportunity to connect. Think of the connection between the medium and the spirit world similar to a radio station. That radio station plays music whether or not we are tuned in. Sometimes it just may be that the radio dial (the medium) is tuned into a different station. Or maybe the medium doesn't have a great signal that day. Mediums are human after all, we have our off days.
You are welcome to stop the reading in the first 15 minutes if you are not satisfied with the connection.
This is such an important question for bereaved parents. There was once a belief that we could not control who came through to us from the spirit world. This type of limiting thinking has since been debunked.
I was called to mediumship to specifically serve bereaved parents. As such, all of my training has been from mentors that have taught me skills that are rooted in current science and provable techniques. This is what serves the bereaved parents' highest good and this is exactly what the spirit world wants for you.
Since the beginning of my training, I have practiced direct mediumship, also known as intentional mediumship.
This means that I connect directly to the person in spirit that you want me to connect to. All of my work supports the fact that this can be done. It is simply a matter of intention, training and skill.
Your child(ren) in spirit are aware of what you are doing every day. They are aware that you want to communicate with them in a reading...and they are very excited by the opportunity to connect. I always encourage clients to talk to their beloveds in spirit; this a way that you can set your intentions for the reading. Tell your child in spirit about your appointment. Tell them how much you are looking forward to visiting with them. They don't need the reminder, but this type of communication adds positive intentions to the reading and serves to enhance it.
A sitter (client) is the person who wants to hear from the spirit world via a psychic evidential medium. This is done by way of what can be described as the 'sacred triangle of communication' between the spirit world - the medium - and the sitter.
An evidential medium provides evidence that they are communicating with your loved one in spirit by providing information that the medium has no way of knowing. The odds of someone guessing the information provided should be slim to none. An evidential medium's goal is to facilitate healing by providing verifiable evidence of life after life...that our loved ones are still with us...just in a different form.
Evidential mediums work best with no information about you or your loved one. Typically, the sitter is asked only to validate the information given by the medium with a yes or a no, and instructed to give no other information during the reading.
This is categorically false. Your loved one can reach you regardless of your deep grief. I know many grievers who received a dream visit when they were in their darkest days. I have brought through spirit communicators within days of their passing.
This statement is generally a misunderstanding of OUR inability to receive or recognize signs or communications from our loved ones in spirit. When we are in deep grief, it is possible to miss what is obvious but that doesn't mean our beloveds in the spirit world are not trying to contact us.
This is an important question. Readings can be very helpful to our healing journey. On the other hand, it can be tempting to become a little too dependent on them and try to bypass the work that is required to integrate our grief in a healthy way.
There is no such thing as 'too soon' to contact your loved one in spirit but I would caution that there is a period of grieving time (which will be different for each of us) that we would be wise to honour as part of our healing journey. I simply suggest mindful consideration; you know best what you need.
Also for the reasons mentioned above, how often you get a reading is an individual question that will vary from person to person. Once a year is probably a healthy balance. On the other hand, some people receive all they need from a single reading and never need another.
Everyone needs to use their own judgment. You know you best.
All mediums are psychics but not all psychics are mediums. A psychic reading is about you (the sitter). It taps into information that pertains to you. Essentially, when I do a psychic reading, my soul is communicating with your soul. It is a two-way communication. A mediumship reading involves communicating with a beloved who now resides in the spirit world; a three-way communication.
This answer also pertains to littles who are born sleeping or cross the veil before learning to talk.
It is absolutely possible to hear from a beloved who did not speak while they resided on earth. The evidence will be different, but no less evidential.
